Discipleship

Discipleship: Matthew 28: 19-20

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.

 

A disciple is someone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, intentionally learns from Him, and strives to live more like Him. Discipleship is a widely-used word to describe a journey of spiritual growth. This growth happens as a person comes alongside another to witness to them, pray with them, study the Bible with them, and fellowship with them.

The goal of Christian discipleship is to become like and think like our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ…2Cor 3:18, Rom 12:1-2

Discipleship involves time in His Word, prayer , fasting, meditation, study and fellowship with other followers of Christ. 

 

Here at PF we follow Christ in discipleship using multiple avenues: ISOM Bible school, focused prayer time, corporate Bible reading, table groups, Bible studies, counseling, practical classes on stewardship ,family, marriage and raising children.
